George and Mona in the Bathes of Cologne 1976

When Bob took his first sabbatical in 1968, he and his family moved to New York City for the year. While there, he decided to paint and he did a series of paintings with his Alice Street home as the subject. These paintings were later destroyed because he didn't like them.

Classical Exposure 1972

Bob in 1974. Here's a story I thought I'd throw in: In 1977, Bob threw away a bunch of his maquettes in a dumpster in back of TB-9. I scrounged them out and sold them. I purposely accosted Bob in the parking lot of the Davis Safeway and presented him with a bottle of Chivas Regal that I'd bought with the money and said, "This is what your garbage will get you." Bob never believed that I got the stuff out of the dumpster and thought I had stolen something else of his. Moral of story: fill in the blanks.
